FAQs
How does Wellnessed aromatherapy putty help to support emotional regulation?
Our aromatherapy putty supports emotional regulation by engaging two calming pathways at the same time: the sense of smell and touch.
Here's how it works:
Aromatherapy supports emotional balance
As you breathe in the scent from the putty, aroma molecules travel to the limbic system, the area of the brain involved in emotion, stress response, and focus. Depending on the blend, aromatherapy can help promote calm, clarity, or an uplifted mood while encouraging slower, steadier breathing.
Hands-on movement grounds the body
Kneading, stretching, and rolling the putty provides tactile input that helps release restlessness and excess energy. This physical engagement supports grounding and can make it easier to stay present and focused.
Smell and touch work together for a gentle reset
Using aromatherapy putty becomes a simple sensory ritual: breathe, move your hands, and pause. This combination supports the nervous system in shifting from heightened stress or distraction into a more regulated, ready state.
Because aromatherapy putty is portable and screen-free, it can be used at desks, during transitions, or whenever emotions feel big, making it a practical tool for children, teens, and adults alike.
How should I store my putty?
After use, return the putty to its container to maintain its texture and fragrance.
Keep it in a cool, dry place to ensure freshness and effectiveness for future use.
Knead putty once a week to help keep it soft and pliable.
How can I extend the life of my aromatherapy putty?
Because our putty is made with all natural ingredients, there are some things you can use from your own kitchen to keep your putty fresh and pliable.
If the putty is feeling too stiff, you can use a drop or two of any liquid oil that doesn’t have a strong odor, we use coconut oil but you could use jojoba or avocado oil. Just place a drop or two of oil into your putty and knead it with your hands until the putty feels soft and pliable. A little goes a long way so just a drop or two can help revive your putty.
If the putty is feeling a little “sticky” you can simply roll it in cornstarch and then knead the cornstarch in until it feels soft, pliable, and nonsticky.
When the aroma starts to fade you can refresh your putty by placing a drop or two of the corresponding Wellnessed diffuser blend into the putty and knead it with your hands.
